Who pays for the broken boiler?

2026-08-19 · Who pays for the broken boiler? Watch on YouTube

What I say in the video

The boiler in your rented flat breaks down. What do you do first?

First, report the fault and put it on record. Second, explain what is happening: it will not light, it is leaking, it is making a noise. Third, if a technician comes, keep the diagnosis or the information about what failed. And fourth, before deciding who bears the cost, you need to know whether this is maintenance, a repair, a replacement, old age or damage caused by misuse.

The right question is not just who pays. First it is what happened.

Give it five minutes and you will save yourself a lot of headaches.
